STRATEGY FACILITATORS NETWORK (BSFN): Depending on the size
of the organization, Business Strategy Development is either done in-house or
an external strategy development consultant is engaged. This network is for
both independent and in-house business strategy development facilitators. There
are a number of books written about strategy facilitation. However, there is no
one universal business strategy development template. Every business has its
own template, approach and business strategy. Whoever facilitates the
development of such strategy has to first invest time in understanding the
business or receiving a thorough briefing from the management and leadership
before embarking on the process of developing and formulating the strategy of
such a business. The risks associated with the strategy that do not speak to
the context of the business are very high since strategies tend to be medium to
long-term. So, strategy development facilitators have huge responsibilities on
their shoulders. We have established the Business Strategy Facilitators Network
for the facilitators, consultants and advisors in business strategy to get
together to reflect on the role and responsibilities they carry as they assist
their clients. They are also expected to be highly ethical in their work. They
are expected to keep confidentiality and not to abuse the privilege they have
in accessing strategic information. The Network will address topics like ethical
practices expected of the business strategy facilitators, advisors and
consultants.
THE 20th ANNIVERSARY INITIATIVE: We are marking COMETSA 20th Anniversary
Celebrations in 2017 with the launch of the monthly COMETSA Professional
Management Services – NETWORKS & FORUMS. These take a form of
presentations, round-table discussions (dialogues and conversations), and
questions & answers format facilitated by COMETSA Methodologists, Experts,
Associates and Partners. In this fast changing world, it is impossible to
remain at the required level of knowledge, expertise and information without
formal and forums as part of continuous professional development. As a human
capital development and management consulting company we see a need to
coordinate and host such forums. Initially these forums will be hosted in
Gauteng Province. In the near future we will make these Forums available across
the country, in each Province, on demand.
