FEBRUARY 2017 - CALL TO ACTION: COMETSA PMS The LEKGOTLA Way Networks & Forums Internal & External Mentors Network (IEMN) like a Mini-MBA

BACKGROUND: The day for the inaugural COMETSA PMS The LEKGOTLA Way Networks & Forums, is here. It is this weekend on Saturday, the 11^th February 2017, from 09h00 to 12h00, with a bonus 1 x hour Pre-Session and 1 x hour Post-Session Networking in the Garden. The Theme for this inaugural Network & Forums is COMETSA PMS Internal & External Mentors Network (IEMN).

As I am sitting with the COMETSA team discussing this inaugural Network, I get more and more excited about this Journey we are about to embark on. We realise what it means to have each of our monthly Networks/Forums in a year dedicated to a particular theme, and not repeating that theme in the same year. This gives the participants of this particular Network a one year period in which to practice the concepts and apply the approaches coming from the Lekgotla.

Just imagine yourself arriving at this inaugural Network addressing this crucial theme once only in this year 2017, and apply the knowledge until 2018 when you will be hearing from your fellow Networkers what they would have done, learned and grown from in the 12 months period. This is like a Mini-MBA indeed. If you think of the fact that we have 10 more such Networks & Forums in this year alone, at such low rates, you will do yourself a favour to join us on this exciting Journey.

VENUE: The weather in Gauteng is beautiful. Our Venue, The Mannah Executive Guest Lodge, www.mannah.co.za , 39 Pomona Road, outside Kempton Park, is magnificent. They are waiting to welcome you with smile and the warmth of Ekurhuleni.

CHECKING-IN: On arrival you will be pointed to a parking space, the Lekgotla room, Registration desk, and have the opportunity to network with other Lekgotla participants in the garden. At exactly 09h00 we kick-off the Lekgotla with the short presentations: (1) Presentation and insights into Mentorship (By Sam Tsima); (2) The setting of the Lekgotla Round Tables (By Portia Diketane and Sam Tsima); (3) Presentation and insights into Lekgotla Concept (By Dr Dumisani Magadlela and Sam Tsima)

CONVERSATIONS: The conversations during the COMETSA PMS Internal & External Mentors Network (IEMN) this weekend will be based on the following point: (1) Discussing the content from the Mentorship presentation; (2) Deliberation on how we are going to go about becoming Mentorship practitioners; (3) How to find Mentors for ourselves, to experienced the benefit of being mentored; (4) How to find Mentees, and apply our Mentoring skills and knowledge acquired; (5) Discuss the insights from the Lekgotla Concept as presented; (6) Discuss the clear Milestones to be achieved between this 2017 Network and the 2018 Network

PLENARY: A short plenary will be conducted to receive feedback and share the knowledge and insights gained from The Lekgotla.
